V-block is used to hold round bars. It has a V-groove which is usually 90 Degree.
In lay out work it is necessary to scribe lines to indicate the dimensions of the workpiece to be filed or machined. The scriber is a tool used for this purpose. It is made of high carbon steel and is hardened. For drawing clear and sharp lines, the point should be ground and honed frequently for maintaining its sharpness. Generally the point angle of Scriber is 12 Degree to 15 Degree.
The point angle of centre punch is 90 Degree.
During Marking, the reference surface is provided by Marking off table surface.
An angle plate is a work holding device used as a fixture in metalworking. Angle plates are used to hold workpieces square to the table during marking out operations. The slots are provided on angle plate for accommodation bolts.
Slotted holes or "T" bolt slots are machined into the surfaces to enable the secure attachment or clamping of workpieces to the plate, and the plate to the worktable.
